Accelerating Discovery from Lab to Patient

Enormous progress has been made in understanding what causes cancer. But at a time of great promise, there is a dire shortage of the very people who can take this knowledge and turn it into new treatments for patients—clinical investigators. They are the ones who ultimately translate science into cures.

Accelerating Cancer Cures is a historic collaboration of the biopharmaceutical industry, academia and young researchers formed to achieve breakthroughs against cancer by rebuilding the ranks of brilliant and committed clinical investigators. Under the leadership of the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, this new model for collaboration will raise $25 million over the next five years to fund 50 of the most promising young clinical investigators dedicated to curing cancer.
