Damon Runyon identifies today’s most brilliant early career scientists and funds their innovative cancer research.

Christine H. Chung, MD
Dr. Chung’s [Damon Runyon-Lilly Clinical Investigator] primary research focus is in preclinical and correlative studies of novel therapeutics for the treatment of head and neck cancer. Dr. Chung has developed a molecular profile for patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma who are at high risk for recurrence. She is currently working to validate the recurrence signature in primary tumors and to define a signature for clinical response to several drug combinations. The identification of such markers will ensure patients receive the treatment that will give them the best chances of a cure.
