Damon Runyon identifies today’s most brilliant early career scientists and funds their innovative cancer research.

Marcia S. Brose, MD, PhD
Dr. Brose’s [Damon Runyon-Siemens Clinical Investigator] laboratory focuses on the genomic characterization of cancers of the head and neck, thyroid and lung. She is active in the area novel drug target discovery. Dr. Brose is a pioneer in the treatment of advanced thyroid cancer and is currently studying the effectiveness of sorafenib in metastatic thyroid cancer patients. Dr. Brose’s research interests include the use of genetic testing in diagnosis, prevention, prognosis, and treatment of cancer, including tobacco-related cancers, head and neck cancers, lung cancers, esophageal cancers, and thyroid cancers.
