Damon Runyon identifies today’s most brilliant early career scientists and funds their innovative cancer research.

Rachael A. Clark, MD, PhD
Dr. Clark investigates the role of the immune system in controlling squamous cell carcinomas of the skin. She has identified novel mechanisms by which these skin tumors evade the immune system: disruption of T cell homing and recruitment of regulatory T cells through misregulation of a protein called E-selectin. Her studies focus on identifying new therapies for effective treatment of these cancers.
