The third annual Damon Runyon 5K at Yankee Stadium, the only charitable run/walk that uses the legendy ballpark as its course, took place on August 7, attracting a capacity crowd of more than 4,000 participants. The event raised more than $615,000 for the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation, which provides today’s best young scientists with funding to pursue innovative cancer research.
