In fiscal year 2024, we pledged over $22.5 million in new grants to 71 exceptional scientists, including our inaugural cohorts of Damon Runyon-St. Jude Pediatric Cancer Research Fellows and postbaccalaureate SPARK Scholars.

Amid swirls of speculation about how artificial intelligence will affect our lives, we asked our scientists how they actually applied the tools of AI to advance the detection, prevention, and treatment of cancer in 2024. What we gathered were stories of innovative problem-solving, tangible patient impact, and hope for the future, made possible by our generous donors.
